My 30 Day Raw Detox - Day 13

Nearly finished two weeks high raw detox.Tomorrow I'm taking a huge step forward. Stay tuned.
Today, I enjoyed
- fruit plate (pomelo, 2 bananas, 2 tangerines)
- salad (parsley, white radish, red pepper, yellow pepper, flaxseed oil, walnuts)
- veggie wrap (tortillas, mushrooms, celery sticks, dried tomatoes)
Finished reading Dr Fred Pescatore's book about healing asthma and candida infection through a three-month anti-allergy and anti-fungal diet.

My 30 Day Raw Detox - Day 12

Yesterday, I went to bed very late since we'd made a family outing - we went to the cinema to see new Steven Spielberg's film War Horse. Well, I love horses and there were some faboulous pictures of the nature but all in all, it was too soapy. Not exactly a fiction, neither a fairy tale for kids, nor an adventure. A mixture of everything half-way through and very shallow. Pity.
Today, I was alone in my office and very efficient. Almost cleared my desk, so will start my new week with ease.
I had:
- green smoothie (apple, pomelo, parsley, Romaine lettuce)
- fruit plate (4 tangerines)
- salad (endive, carrot, mushrooms, walnuts, flaxseed oil)

- veggie combo (zucchini, red pepper, parsley, olive oil)

My 30 Day Raw Detox - Day 11

A very busy working day today, I hadn't stopped for the whole day. To relax and get some fresh air, I took a longer lunch break and walked for 45 minutes. The sun was shining, though it was cold but I enjoyed my walking workout.
Today, I had:
- green smoothie (leftover from yesterday: apple, grapefruit, lemon, Romaine lettuce, arugula)
- fruit plate (apple, 2 tangerines)
- veggie wrap (red pepper, mushrooms, carrots, 2 gluten-free corn tortillas)
I came back home very late and didn't want to eat for the night, so I just had a cup of herbal tea.

My 30 Day Raw Detox - Day 10

What a day! After having eaten cooked rice yesterday for dinner, I felt rather dehydrated this morning and was very much attracted towards juicy fruits. Even though I was a little bit scared to have digestive problems on the train, I ate a grapefruit and a tangerine. When I arrived in my office, my intestines were again sort of rumbling a little bit, so when I was hungry again, I had some brown rice crackers with my herbal tea. I didn't think of that before but now I believe their glycemic index must be very high because two hours later, I felt very dizzy, started to sweat, kind of cold sweat and was like near fainting. Very annoying because at that time, I was attending my first course of salsa!!! I had never felt this when I was on water fast or juice feast - I've always heard from official media (= nutritionnists) that one should limit her intake of fruit because they contain a lot of sugar which is not good (hence my avoiding bananas for a long time), yet never after eating just fruit, did I experience that sugar-spike in my blood, which brought a quick crush and made me feel very weak all of a sudden. Lesson - never eat rice crackers alone without some almond butter or huge amount of fiber in veggies. After my danse course, I bought a salad in our canteen and ate it with pleasure. My intestines were OK, so I had my green smoothie tonight instead of in the morning.
Today, I enjoyed:
- pomelo, tangerine
- rice crackers
- salad (curly lettuce, radish, cucumber, Chinese cabbage, flat green beans)
- green smoothie (apple, tangerine, Romaine lettuce, arugula - ergh, it was too spicy, arugula is definitely not my cup of tea, too astringent)
