 Shawarma is a real bomb!

Last week I lunched with some friends for 2 consecutive days and my diet was totally spoiled...not that I cheated or ate more but apparently, shawarma is very fatty...last thursday I ate at a Lebanese resto and ordered chicken Shawarma with vegetable salad. They served it with aioli, which I did not eat but goodness me, I gained back the 400 grams I lost the first 4 days of last week, so that was a disappointment...then, the day after, Friday, I showed my Swedish friend around the asian food stores and she treated me out to lunch and we had Mongolian Barbecue...I chose my toppings very carefully , chose lean beef, chicken filets and vegetables and took only a few strands of noodles and when I weighed myself just before going to bed, lo and behold! I gained back another 300 grams!  So, I googled Shawarma, (yes this is how obsessed I am right now...;D ;D) and I found out that to make that delicious meat around that vertical rotisserie, they keep slapping butter and meat around the thing alternately...just like what I call slapping fat on my thighs...and the Mongolian BBQ, well the fat must be hidden in the sauce mixes and the fryer...I'll have to take a break from Mongolian BBQ and Shawarma for a while then...that's a shame...

Slowly but surely...am almost there! work it!

Wow, very precise on your reduction of meals, that's good! As for shawarma's I've never actually tried them but do see them at the malls and I must say they look like they're fatty so I stay away from them, good thing I did:)

Calorie bomb indeed it is...am not fond of it either, but my husband is surprisingly crazy about it and he's been nagging me to visit the place once in a while for lunch when their prices are 30 % lower so, there you go...

I weigh myself in the evening and in the morning both without clothes but I take note of the morning weight more than the evening weight. I am still experimenting on different ways of eating to lose weight since my body tends to adapt to a 10 day-diet, which means that after 10 days, I'll have to change my routine...except the morning exercises, the fruits and some supplements...right now for example, I have stopped eating the amino acid tabs and shortened my morning exercise to 30 minutes but I go for another walk in the middle of the day for 20 minutes...and, I've reduced the weight of my meals as follows:

breakfast: max 800 grams (400 grams food, 400 ml liquid)
lunch: max 600 grams (200 g food, 300 ml water)
snack: 250 grams (50 grams food, 200 ml water)
dinner: 500 grams (200 grams food, 200 ml water)
evening fruit (not always): 250 grams (50 grams + 200 ml water)

Oh yikes. Good thing I'm not that fond of shawarma (although it is yummy!).

Do you weigh yourself at various times of the day, or always before going to bed? A few grams' weight gain at various times of the day is to be expected, because of what you eat and drink.
