When I went out of my house for an exercise for the very first time, this was on October 12, 2009, I weighed a little more than 89 kilos...I think, to be exact, I weighed 89.9 kilos, and I COULD BARELY WALK FOR 15 MINUTES WITHOUT PANTING. Well, after my first 15 minutes walk that day, I walked again the next day, the third day, the 4th day and then I found myself taking 15 minute walks for a week...the week later I raised the time to 20 minutes and my speed to a bit faster than the turtle strides I took during the first week.
Do you remember the line in the movie "Forest Gump" saying: "Run Forest Run!" ? Well, I kind of told myself this everyday during my first few weeks of trying to lose weight..."Walk Amor Walk!"...and so I did a few minutes a day, and the days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and now... HEY, I've been doing it for more than a year! And am not just walking anymore! Iam doing power walks of 8.4 Ks for 1 hour &10 minutes and runs of 11.2 Ks for 1 hour & 40 minutes...and I do it even when it's 10 degrees below zero outdoors (I only run outdoors, not on the tread mill/at the gym), and I only rest once a week...so m'Belles, I am now doing my weekly marathon and I guess what I am trying to say is....
Fitness is possible anywhere and any time for everyone...you just have to want it badly and do it yourself, for yourself!
