 Eating Well

My husband has been home for two and half weeks now. He is a vegan so not only does he not eat meat but he does not eat any dairy products. He brought about 10 bags of naval beans as they are hard to find here and he absolutely loves naval beans.

Navy beans are part of the legume family which are plants that produce edible pods. Combined with whole grains such as rice, navy beans provide virtually fat-free high quality protein. Since he doesn't eat meat then he needs to get his protein from somewhere. He used to eat a lot of tofu but after researching tofu we found out that it's not so good for you, at least consuming too much of it since it contains soy.

So a lot of our meals consist of these naval beans along with vegetables. Another thing I'd like to add is that it definitely cleans out your system when it's time to go #2:)

You're right, I haven't really seen navy beans over here. I suppose Healthy Options might be the best option for vegans here, but it's still pretty hard to stay vegan on a budget here. I hope you will be able to manage. =)
