An Eye-Opening Experience
Bored at home, I was looking through YouTube at the various makeup tutorials. It seems like every girl with a big-enough makeup bag is making one. Some are good, some are plain hideous. I personally like looking at Asian beauty blogs more because they are more natural and closer to my own experiences. To be clear, I am not a makeup junkie at all (perhaps fellow blogger Bean is a better example-- check out her blog!), but I've been drawn countless times to buy so-called "cult" or "holy grail" products that Caucasian women espouse, only to find the color completely washed out on or clashing with my skin tone.
I was surprised to see this video though. I remember having some Korean and Japanese classmates back in high school who would tape their eyelids or paint thick coats of black eyeliner to mimic having a "fold" on their eyelids. I don't know how I feel about smearing glue on my eyes and then using a sharp prong to create a fake lid, but my guy friends already balk at the idea of an eye curler.
I think that glueing tiny fake lashes over my lashline is the most extreme make up trick I've dared. What about you? What's the weirdest thing you've ever done with makeup?
