I've been making a conscious effort to really eat more veggies. So yesterday, M and I went to Cyma in Shangri-La for lunch. We ordered their Roka (arugula) salad with grilled octopus. The salad had candied walnuts, parmesan shavings, cherry tomatoes, and more lettuce.

Since I was with M, we had to order lamb. I got the Paidakia, which is grilled lamb ribs. I had it with the rice-stuffed baked bellpeppers. I didn't eat much of the rice, but instead ate the pepper.

M's idea of vegetables are potatoes. And healthy vegetables means baked instead of fried. So M thought the lamb shoulder with Greek style potatoes was like, the pinnacle of healthy eating.

"There are herbs too. And a lemon wedge." M noted. I rolled my eyes and dutifully ate most of the salad (taking out the cheese and walnuts) before moving on to the lamb.
For dinner we ate at Terry Selection in Makati. I still prefer the branch in Podium, because I am not a fan of glass walls and bright lighting (too show off-y). Unfortunately my camera ran out of battery so we couldn't take pictures.
I felt a cold coming in so I got the consomme (which I suspect was a combination of beef and vegetables) with jamon serrano, rice, and corn. It was not a pretty looking soup and the mixture of loose rice, ham, and random bits of veggies on a clear soup meant it was probably "peasant food"-- which means it was absolutely tasty and heartening. I had that with another salad of mixed greens and squid. M ordered a meat and cheese platter, because M didn't feel all that hungry. Right.
I caved in and ate some of the cheese, telling myself I wouldn't eat dessert for the next two days. And by dessert I mean anything sweet that isn't a fruit. A fresh fruit to be precise.
I feel lighter and more energized. Still a bit hesitant to step on the scale though.
