Last Friday, after announcing our plans for the 7x7 challenge, I decided to start practicing and figuring out the number of minutes I would have to be walking to achieve the minimum of 7000 steps per day. I paced back and forth around the office and then walked around the park over lunch break (around 15 mins) and by mid day I had gained 4000 steps. In the afternoon I went about my usual tasks with the usual bathroom and water breaks and made my way home gaining another 2000 steps easily. At the end of day, I completed 7178 steps!
It seemed fairly easy. All i needed to do was actually walk around during lunch break and of course interact with my colleagues in the office. Last Friday proved that 7000 steps would come easy. However, due to extreme TAMADITIS on Saturday, I am embarrassed to say that by 9pm on Saturday I had only gained 800 steps! =)) I ended Saturday with 2189 steps only because my friends decided to take me out. HAHA!
Yesterday I walked 5289 steps giving me a total of 14656 steps (which i admit was pretty pathetic haha!).
Today I'm proud to say that I gained 3000 steps before 8am! I decided to walk to work from the village and with my turtle pace I made 3000 steps in 15 mins - the same amount of steps I would have gained if I circled the park this afternoon. I hope I can keep this up. I've forgotten how good it feels to MOVE first thing in the morning.
Have a great day everyone! And I hope to see you at the finish line!
