 Checking out KK

July 14, Wednesday

I'll be traveling to Kota Kinabalu this August and I'm looking for the best place to stay (within budget of course).  I'm kinda torn between staying at a resort or staying downtown by the city, but since I'll be going to Boracay the week after, I'm thinking staying in the City might be a better option.  With my semi-OC nature, I've already managed to come up with a spreadsheet that contains a list of hotels along with the price, type of room, if breakfast's included, how I'll get those rates, and even some review comments.  My dilemma is, should I go for the cheaper hotels that provide the basic services but take a risk in the room/ cr department, or go for the nicer and newer ones that are a bit more expensive (1-1.5k more/night) and be assured that I'll be comfortable with the room?  I'll have to make up my mind soon since I want to book early so I could get cheaper rates.

Then, I have to plan an itinerary for our entire stay and figure out if we're going to join the tours or are we just gonna rough it up ourselves.  But one thing's for sure... I'm gonna be dirt poor by the end of the month! Hahaha!

But that's one of my major motivations in getting more fit.  I'll be flying off to KK and probably go island hopping there, then off to Boracay for some more r&r.  Which simply means, I have to look pretty good in a bikini!  Hahaha!  Oh, and since I'll be off to Cebu two weekends after Bora, where the plan is to eat the best food, as much as we can, then I would definitely have to be below my weight goal so it wouldn't be too bad if I gain 4-5 lbs from that food trip.  Hahaha! :P

my diet for today, Thursday, 16 July (Average)
Breakfast 1/4c rice, 2 pcs torta
Lunch 1/2c rice, rib part fried chicken
  Snack ice cream, pancit
Dinner wheat bread and "cheeseburger mac" soup
