Ever since my relationship turned long distance, I've become sort of an expert at traveling. I travel to Singapore at least once a month (for a year and a half now) so I have a pretty good idea of what and what not to do.
My travel essentials are as follows:
1) Baby wipes - for cleaning and disinfecting
2) Rosebud Salve - doubles as a moisturizer and lip balm. Your skin gets extra dry on the plane!
3) Scarf- a brightly colored scarf will lighten any outfit and is easier to tote around than a sweater or jacket
4) Ballet flats - ballet flats are comfortable and versatile enough to go with everything. Comfort first!
5) Ouchless hair ties - a ponytail or bun will save any bad hair day!
6) Sunglasses- bring sunglasses to hide your tired, poufy eyes
7)Cute passport holder + luggage tags - a colorful passport holder will be easier to spot and will add a personalized touch
8) LBD (Little Black Dress) - not only will you look classy, but it will camouflage any stains you might get on your plane ride
9) Travel kit (blanket, eye mask, pillow) - all you need for a good nap
10) Foldable bag - a lightweight, foldable bag is especially handy while travelling. You can dump all your things inside or simply fold it up if you don't want to use it.
More Travel Do's:
1) Remember the following sets of information : PASSPORT NUMBER, EXPIRATION DATE, DATE OF ISSUE, FLIGHT NUMBER. Once you memorize these, filling up immigration forms will be a breeze!
2) Bring plastic ziploc bags for storing makeup. This way, airport security can easily spot it.
3) Do not overpack! Schedule your outfits per day. You'll save space and make room for whatever you want to shop for!
4)Keep yourself hydrated. Skin tends to get really dry onboard so make sure you ask for a glass of water.
5)Bring a pack of breath mints or a travel sized toothbrush and toothpaste to ensure that your breath is minty fresh! You never know who you might meet.
