I've always wanted flawless legs. Unfortunately, my legs are full of scars and bruises thanks to my clumsiness and active lifestyle.
When I was a kid, there was never a time I'd come home from playing without a single scratch. I'd always get comments like "Paano ka magiging Ms. Universe? " or "Ang dami mo ng piso! Para kang Bangko Sentral!". I was always running around climbing trees, beating up boys or playing games outside.
20 years later, I'm still running around and beating up boys. I come home from jiujitsu, bruised all over. I occasionally trip and hurt myself. I started pole dancing lessons and I'm getting bruised from that also. Its a never ending cycle.
I've come to the conclusion that I should just embrace my scars, because no matter how much I hate them or try to hide them, they define who I am - an active, accident prone woman.
