on gaining weight and menses

I lost weight on my second week! Wow. Happy. Did I celebrate? Not with food. On my 3rd week, I gained a little weight. Tomorrows Satruday, and I'm guessing that I did gain weight again. So sad. But I guess its because I've adjusted to the diet and activity already. Is my metabolism that bad? I've had a consult with a nutritionist before and I've been eating less calories than a 120 lbs is required. What they did was actually require me to increase my calorie intake. And past that, I have not finished the program because of workload.
The problem is that my metabolism has probably been on starvation mode that in reality my body is trying to save energy by decreasing my metabolism. The thing is that, I've been eating less the weeks before I entered belle, and my activity just dropped, so I slowly gained weight. The thing too that I miss the most about losing weight is that I don't have any dysmenorrhea. When I do, I know that I'm gaining weight. Two days ago I had the dysmenorrhea, the most severe of all. So tomorrow I know that the weighing scale would show that I've gained weight. I'm expecting that too because I've noticed that its the time of the month where I have my menses, and usually I gain weight around that time and promptly lose it after a few days.
How I wish that I could permanently lose this excess weight.

up and about

Wow, every little event at the start of my diet program seemed to push me out of it. I went down with the flu at the start of this week and the soup diet came out of the recipe book. Let me just share to you that at the start of the water diet I lost weight and I think part of that was because it made me lessen my salt intake. And here I am "drinking" soup, gained weight in consequence. I haven't been having my exercise, and just resumed today. I plan to exercise again later. :P Hopefully I don't get sick again!
I'm keeping my "no meat" diet for a while. And looking forward to increasing veggies and fuits in my diet. The exercise week, I think I can incorporate in my 3rd week. So crossing my fingers to the weigh in tomorrow. But even though I gained weight, I'm set on losing weight! :P

starting the week with a sneeze

I woke up today, stuffy nose and everything. I thought that this would just be my morning allergies so I slept it off and here I am using all the available tissue.
Started off with my diet today with lots of fluids and warm foods. I was so excited yesterday of my weight loss and I'm hoping that this "flu" wouldn't affect my progress.
So this week my main agenda is building up my immune system. I'm adding lots of fruits and making sure I take my daily vitamins. As for the week 2 work-out, let's see. I might be doing my routine and not adding up much until I feel much better.

My first week supposedly has come and passed but I'm planning to extend my first week to 1 more. I haven't stuck to my diet regimen and gave way to temptation on the last few days. My exercise for 20 minutes was stopped because I had painful cramps for the last 3 days.
On the plus side, I noticed that I became more active and became somewhat of a picky eater. I'm resuming my exeercise and my diet regimen. In addition to that, I'm going to research on to losing weight.
Here's my first research:
Being a "sweet tooth" is one of my battles. I've tried to curb that with increasing water intake, but it was a losing battle. I've read today that activity will help rid of the addiction, a 15 minute walk or solving a crossword puzzle. So everytime, I get that urge, I plan to either hop on to my stationary bike, walk around the block and take photos or get a crossword puzzle handy beside me (aside from having to read books).
So here's to my second 1st week. :)
