ITS A BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY!
It's day 2 and I hope to keep this up. 
I'm an avid fan of long grain brown rice. My husband is also a convert. Though it is more expensive than the regular rice but A cup of brown rice fills me up quick and the longer I feel full. It's all worth it. On top of that, the calories of 2 cups of brown/red rice is equivalent to a slice of white bread or a cup of white rice. Imagine that!!! Each chew of brown rice is a piece of heaven. I love the texture... the soft but chewey texture, read: FIBER!. We've been on this diet for two years and we're loving it.
I recommend the brand: Full of Grace. Product: Traditional Filipino Brown Rice
Another good brand is Harvester's Choice and Farms & Cottages Healthy Rice Premium Organic though this two brands needs more water [1cup of rice : 3 cups of water].
The best way to cook the brown rice [Full of Grace] is similar to cooking Japanese rice. Technique is to place the palm of your hand on top of the rice on pot {rice cooker} till the water reaches your wrist. If you feel you need to soften it a bit more, just add more water according to desired softness/mushiness. Add a pinch or dash of salt to sweeten it up a bit if you wish to. But I prefer not to so I can have a lower calorie and lower sodium in take.

Perhaps I just want to share the healthy benefits of brown rice to all of you gals.
