Last night, I had another pole class and, boy, was it a workout! Our instructor was out sick so we ended up practicing all our stunts and teaching each other other stunts we had learned in the past. We've also been practicing how to ad lib with the pole. This is pretty important to us since we're planning a Pole Dancing showcase in November and really need to practicing the dancing part of pole DANCING. Haha. (Keep reading my blog for updates on the show details!)
I really feel great. Being active is just so much fun. I love how my body looks and feels and I love how I can fit into my pants from high school again! I'm still not at my target weight but I think that might be because I've developed more muscles now. Still a few more pounds to lose (9 to be exact) but I'm extremely happy with how pole dancing has been treating my body, bruises and all!
If you don't mind my saying so, I think all of you should find fun and unconventional workouts that you can be passionate about. Every day is a new experience to look forward to. Plus, it's a really good conversation starter! (NOT that I'm against going to the gym or other conventional exercises. The quirky sports just suit my personality more.)
