 Feeling Better!

I've been feeling a lot better since my last entry about my injury. So many things to look forward to and be happy about!

My arm is feeling much better. I went to see Dr. George Canlas, the top orthopedic surgeon in Asia, and he prescribed me medicine and taught me a few exercises. From what I see, they've been working well. I tried surfing this weekend and I was able to paddle out despite the strong current. Unfortunately, my arm really wasn't strong enough for me to stay out too long. But I'm still happy that at least I did that much. Today, I'll be going back to dance class to ease myself back into exercising. Slow and steady for now. I don't want to push myself too hard for fear of my injury getting worse.

This last trip to the beach is just making me so much more excited for all the other trips I have planned for the rest of the year. There was a storm my whole stay in Quezon and we were CAMPING. Hahaha. I spent 3 days damp and freezing my butt off. It was a complete adventure. We slept in hammocks, ate canned goods and roasted marshmallows. Roughing it like a cowboy! I loved the whole experience but I have to admit that I'm looking forward to more relaxed and pampered trips. This weekend, I'm going on a day trip to Zambales with a friend and his officemates. That will be a little rough but it's only for the day so it's all good. The weekend after that, I'm headed to Tali. One of my best friends is coming home from New York so we're going to spend 3 amazing days at her beach house. Just like old times! This is what I'm most excited for because I missed her so much. Then, I'm planning a Baguio trip with some friends. Haven't really been to the mountains this year so I think it would be good to go before 2010 ends. Christmas weekend, I'll be with my dad in Boracay and after that, I'll be in Palawan with my mom.

Palawan will be such an adventure! My sister is coming home from Africa for the Holidays and after we get pampered in the fancy resort in Palawan, we're going on an island safari. 3 days, 2 nights spent on a boat hopping from one remote island to another. We'll be sleeping in open huts with nothing but a mat and mosquito net. It's going to be amazing! I can tell. Haha. We'll be visiting the cleanest, most uninhabited beaches in El Nido. A little R&R and adventure before 2011 kicks my butt.

Life is looking really good! All the freedom to do what I want without having to answer to anyone or worry that what I'm doing might not be okay with someone. Wish my luck on all my adventures! I hope the rest of 2010 is just as exciting for you all. WHOO!
