After 2 days on the kamote diet, I am giving it up. It's very draining to eat just kamote and grilled chicken/fish. I have absolutely no energy and it's really killing my good mood. The diet is absolutely NOT worth it.
I was having a pretty bad day yesterday. My hormones were kicking my butt and some of my friends were being difficult about a whole number of things so I decided to dance all the bad vibes away. I did 3 hours of pole dancing last night from 630-930pm. It was so much fun and the dances/stunts were amazing but I could already feel myself running low on energy. Damn you, kamote diet.
It was easy enough to stay alive during the 3 hours but afterwards, the crash was really bad. With absolutely no energy left, I went straight home, drank a few glasses of water and Powerade while waitng for my body to cool down, took a shower and passed out. It was so hard to just keep my eyes open. I thought I would wake up feeling much better but no, I didn't. As soon as my alarm rang, I woke up but I couldn't even move. I kind of just lay there listening to Pure Shores (my alarm tone) getting louder and louder. Goodness, I wanted so bad to shut it off but I really couldn't get my body to move. It took maybe a good 3 minutes of struggling to sit up and hit the snooze button (Yes, my alarm sucks. It just loops the song over and over at full volume.). That's when my body started shaking. What a crappy feeling. I had to lie back down for a few minutes and wait for the shakes to subside.
I'm feeling much better now. After my morning shower, I felt more energized. My hands are still shaking a little but nothing I can't work around. Today, I am officially saying goodbye to the kamote diet and hello to normal eating again.
