This past week, my arm has been feeling really weird. There are times when it hurts from my fingers to my back, times when the pain is concentrated just on my wrist and forearm and times when my arm just goes numb. It started around Monday last week and I had still been dancing despite the pain. I did a total of 7 1/2 hours of pole dancing last week and after my workout on Thursday, I could feel the pain getting worse.
By Friday night, it was so bad I couldn't even close my hand into a fist anymore. So early Saturday morning, I went straight to Makati Med to see my tito who was on duty in the ER. He told me I had damaged my ulna nerve do to overexertion. This means I won't be dancing for a while. :o( It makes me so sad.
I'm now taking pills every day for the inflammation and to repair my nerves. Tomorrow, I'm going to see Dr. George Canlas to see if I'm going to need physical therapy. I need to recover as soon as possible. I'm going to miss dancing too much. And gain so much weight over the holidays without exercise! NOOO. Hahaha.
Moral of the story: Once you start feeling something wrong, don't wait for it to get worse before having yourself checked.
Good luck to me!
