I've been putting off my post-Holidays workout and diet for way too long. My sister is still here from the States and she has been my constant excuse to not eat healthy or exercise. With "But I HAVE to take her to (insert name of restaurant) before she leaves! The food is amazing!" and "She'll never be able to eat this kind of food in the States. I need to take her out!" being my two favorite excuses.
Last night after pole class, one of my classmates brought out some fancy shmancy machine that does your body composition inner scan. It gives all sorts of information on the makeup of your body. I'm not completely unhappy with the results but I definitely expected better. The holiday feasts really got me!
Here it is:
Body weight: 51.1 kg
Body fat: 24.3%
Body water: 55.4%
Muscle mass: 36.5 kg
Physique rating: Under exercise
Basal metabolic rate: 1175 cal (this is the amount of calories I burn at rest)
Metabolic age: 18
Bone mass: 2.2 kg
Visceral fat: 2 (fat that surrounds the vital organs of the body)
I expected my body fat to be lower and muscle mass to be much higher considering that when I look in the mirror, I feel like I'm looking at a man's body from all the muscle. Hahaha. Ideally, your muscle mass should be at least half of your body weight. This means mine is pretty good already. I guess I'm just an overachiever when it comes to being in shape. My goal is to reach at least 40 kg and have serious abs.
Starting today, I'm going back to 4 1/2 - 6 hours of pole dancing a week, abs everyday and I'm also trying something new. As I type this, I am drinking Herbalife Herbal Concentrate. A lot of my friends swear by this stuff. Some are taking the meal replacement shakes and multivitamin complex in addition to the tea.
I decided to start slow with just the tea first since I don't have too much weight to lose. If after one week I don't see any results at all, I will be starting with the multivitamin complex. It supposedly targets cellulite and helps you lose inches without losing weight.
I'll be blogging about this regularly to keep everyone updated on it. I'm kinda starting to feel hyper already from the tea. And I'm only halfway through with my first serving. Hahaha. This should be interesting.
Wish me luck, belles!
