I continued doing these Monday, here in my home. Here is my wall where I collected images to remind me about these everyday, easy-to follow practices.

Hi Belles! I've been away way to long due to incredibly interesting activity in my business and family life. A weekend at The Farm in San Benito Lipa changed my life and fast tracked my desire and actions to get back on the healthy saddle.
I will talk about The Farm another day - but let me tell you what I did today.
At 8.30 to 9.30am, I walked aroung the village with my sister who is visiting from NZ. We brisk-walked holing light weights. We never really labor over the walking time, becuase there's so much to catch up on! I love having a work-out partner.
Breakfast was a bowl of oatmeal, and a small fruit salad bowl: (small slices of mango, avocado, bananas and papaya). I tried to copy the first course for breakfast I had at the Alive! resto at The Farm.
After more than an hour with my fave client Lena V, designing her wardrobe for an Alaskan cruise, it was lunch time.
I had brown rice, vegetable lumpiang hubad from the Little Chinese Store. I only added very, very little dressing. Their dressing is all sugar! My protein for lunch was a piece of freshly grilled tilapia, which my four-year old enjoyed too.
At 2.00pm, I presented a design to a mother of a bride: a lovely champagne gold gown with romantic petal details on the sleeves.
I then spent a few minutes watching CJ Corona on the stand at the Senate proceedings (finally!). At 5.00pm, Sis and I left for Beyond Yoga in Tomas Morato, QC. THe 1.15 hour session was a sweaty, feel-great work-out with sixteen other students and our instructor, a young surfer looking dude named Johann.
After YOGA, Sis and I went shopping at Rustans Supermarket, right below the yoga studio. The shopping list included Muesli, low fat milk, salmon among other things. I decided to drink a whole buko of fresh juice while waiting in line to pay.

NEW YEAR: clean slate, new hope!
|
|
The beauty of ushering in a New Year is being able to give ourselves a clean slate. New Year is about hope (pretty much like a wedding day) I am currently at my heaviest, most sedentary state. It feels horrible, but I know that I am responsible for this.
I've decided not to despair, but instead continue to be patient, focused and persevering.
After a planning session morning at work, I headed off to Rustan's Supermaket to buy items I need to reach my ideal weight and good eating habits.
Day 1 of carb-free, sugar-free, baked-goods free, fruit-free, alcohol free (and again nicotine free). So help me God. Tyra Banks once said: "If you eat it, you write it."
I am actually doing the Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet once again to re-train myself to eat the right stuff. Fruits and complex carbs will be introduced on the 15th day (Phase 2). Am watching Healthy Appetite (Lifestyle Network) to get more healthy cooking tips.
