I'm trying to prepare meals that even my kids will enjoy. They aren't all that into veggies yet, but at least I'd like them to eat the protein dishes prepared for them. They swim every afternoon this summer in our garden and get really hungry for merienda.
BREAKFAST
~coffee wi cream and stevia (instead of Equal or Splenda)
~green veggie juice 6 oz: cucumber, sayote, tomato and wheatgrass (1 sachet)
MID-DAY SNACK
~melon with Laughing Cow cheese, 1 piece (light)
LUNCH
~breaded pork chop (I use wholewheat crumbs), fried in vegetable oil - 2 medium sized portions
~brown rice, 1 cup
~sayote tops with shrimp, stir fried (kids loved this)
MERIENDA
~wholewheat siopao bread. 2 Laughing Cow Lite
DINNER
~gindara pan fried, then baked ( 1 piece ) - (kids thought this was goody)
~giant salad (all organic veggies): romane lettuce, tomatoes, 1 hardboiled egg, parmesan cheese
~ some pieces menudo (wi out the carrots)
~1 cup Japanese green tea laced with ginger (I break out into a good sweat everytime)
LATE NIGHT SNACK:
~Coke Zero, vanilla wafers (small squares)
