Phew!
I finally have the time to blog again. Since I've started working in communications, my workload seems to have quadrupled! But it's all good as I can honestly say, I've never had so much fun at work.
Last week we organized a trip to Donsol to swim with the whale sharks. It was an amazing experience to say the least. It was the first time the WHOLE company went out of town together and the whole event did not disappoint! The butandings were such amazing creatures. They were huge and awe-inspiring. I got over my fear of swimming with large creatures, although I didn't dare go near enough to touch them.

The swimming was a fantastic workout. Don't let the serene pictures fool you, as the whale sharks don't stay in one place, but slice though the currents rather quickly. In my quest to keep up, I must have swallowed two liters of saltwater.
After staying in the ocean for four hours, we called it a day and headed back to the resort to rest. In the afternoon, we divided the teams into eight groups, each one corresponding to each core value of the company. Each group had to come up with a game based on the core value-- and boy, did their imaginations run wild. We had relay races, trivia quizzes and perennial birthday party favorite-- the longest line. That one involved people running around in their underwear in their haste to win. I will spare you belles the pictures!
All in all it was a great trip, and everyone arrived safe and sound. That was such a big relief for the communications team!
Here's a picture of me and communications officer Tanya taken at 3am in the morning. We didn't breath the entire weekend. Goal number 1 was to make sure everyone enjoyed the trip. Goal number 2 was to keep everyone safe and every limb intact!

More pictures to come!
