Still continuing my evening walks. This time I stayed away from the malls and instead walked around my area and Westgate.
I am really loving the cooler weather we are experiencing right now. It's just right. Right now some of our colleagues and coaches are in Paris-- where last I checked it was -6 degrees during the day!
Snow is lovely, but as I easily get cold (even the office AC gives me the shivers), I am grateful to be living in the tropics, where a "chilly" evening means I just need to pack a thin cardigan or scarf. I would never dream of taking a relaxing stroll through snow.
But come to think of it-- the most number of steps I've ever done was in Paris in fact. But this was because I happened to be with our colleague Jean-Michel, who holds the record for the most number of steps in a single day (at least within Anxa/BelleToday): 71K.
Yes. 71K in 24 hours. It's pretty insane.
When we were in Paris together he was intent on getting at least 35K steps a day. I would usually leave him alone to walk, but that time it was late and I didn't want to navigate the streets alone. So I ended up walking 32K steps. YES. 32K. That's the most I've ever done. 32K steps through wind, rain, and grumpy Parisiennes.
When I got home, I collapsed on my bed and woke up at noon the next day with aching calves and broken shoes.
That ain't happening here in Manila. Ever.
