 First Food Blog

 

Yay! This is my first food blog! Big thanks to victoriacastillo for inspiring me to start this up. I stumbled on her post in femalenetwork and it led me here. This is such a sweet site.

I'm currently in a plateau at 146lbs. My heaviest was 157lbs and it took 2 weeks to go down to 146lbs. But then it's been almost 3 weeks since and I'm still not moving from 146lbs. I did lose 3 inches total from my waistline. Yipee! 

 

So, the game plan is:

  • At least a calorie deficit of 500kcal/day, more if kaya 
  • A 45min aerobic activity 6x/week
  • or, walk to and fro the office at a steady pace (around 35-40min total)
  • Load up on water
  • Drink my vitamins, regularly (gawd! absent-minded pill-taker)
  • Get a solid 7-8hrs sleep nightly

 

After 2 weeks, if I feel my body is ready for more I'll incorporate core exercises and weight training to my workouts. I'm a big couch potato right now and I don't want to shock my body too much with extreme workouts! 

I'll also be taking photos of my meals as faithfully as I can. I'm hoping that the photo documentation routine will make me more sensitive to my food choices. *cough chips! cough*

Right now, I only have shots of my dinner as I didn't have a camera with me earlier for my morning meals.

  my diet for today, Friday, 2 July (Satisfactory)
  Breakfast Banana with grande non-fat, no whip hot mocha
  Lunch Homemade spaghetti with lean meat sauce
  Snack Banana and a cup plain yogurt
  Dinner Scrambled eggs, half of a wheat pandesal, pesto, slice of emmenthal cheese, green tea and wedge of dark chocolate
  Glasses of water

Agree with vic. ^_^ Don't, don't starve yourself. Your fat cells will think there's a famine going on and will hoard all the fat from your food. Then when you go back to regular eating you'll balloon.

Just choose your food wisely. Check belletoday's program for guidelines on good, healthy food. ^_^

@ willah: Do be careful though. I don't want you to starve yourself. =) Maybe you can try small, frequent meals to keep your energy levels up?

Hope I could do that too. But my work requires me to eat or else I'll faint. hehe will try to do that also. :) I am going to the gym as frequent as I can cause I need cardio work outs for my weight loss. Thanks for the tips. :)

Dear, super restricted yung diet ko nun.

Basically everday I get a doppio espresso or large brewed coffee (black) from my fave coffee shop. Then just eat toasted tuna the entire day (usually cooked with onions, garlic, & tomatoes). I end the day with salad or soup or both and a big glass of homemade lemonade at night.

To stave off hunger pangs, water galore ako. Lots of vitamins at night also since I probably wasn't getting all my nutritional needs. >_<

It's great but not something I'd do long-term. I did that to recondition/reboot my body. So now, I no longer crave for junk food and I can eat small portions again. ^_^

As for the pics, It would be great if we can see everyone's posts with some visuals. It makes for a more interesting blog post and I find I'm more happy in getting good photos than in eating bad food. Good food seems to take a photo better than chips! ^_^
