What is it about yummy food that makes me create excuses for excesses?
This week I've been pretty good with my food choices in the morning but when dinner time arrives I come up with all kinds of reasons to cheat. Early on in the week I ate a bag of chips excusing myself by saying, "My period's coming."
But what do I say now when I've just had another bag of chips for dinner? "I need something to calm my nervousness from too much shopping." How lame is that?
I drank a lot of water throughout the week. More than usual and I'm very happy about that. Though my dinners are splurges, my mornings and afternoons were mostly in line with my intended healthy diet. And I've been mostly "regular", which is great! But I really need to stop it with the justifications.
I just went through my phone images over the past couple of months and it's so nice to see the physical improvements in my body shape from a month ago. I'm still so far from my goal and I don't want to keep sabotaging myself with these cheats.
I've been regularly walking from my pad to my office and back which is 40 minutes roundtrip, 50 minutes if my pace is not hurried. I'm going to keep posting on this blog and in the forums to keep my motivation up.
On a happier note, my period is coming and even with all the nighttime cheating my weight is still the same. Break even, I guess?
I also did a lot of mall walking throughout the week and managed to get a lot of dresses on 70% off and purchased a lot wardrobe staples that were also on sale. I'm so happy about these purchases that I might do a post about it. Lol.
Anyway, it's Japanese-Filipino friendship month this July and there's a Japanese film festival ongoing in Shang right now. I'm thinking of heading there this weekend to watch. What are you doing this weekend?
