I left off from my last post telling you guys about me going to Shang for the film festival. Sadly, I was unable to go there because my obsessive-compulsive nature towards cleaning kicked in.
My guy, J, is a system administrator who's big on games and all things geeky. I grabbed the entire series of Futurama from him to play on my computer while I clean house.
I've gone through all the episodes from Season 1 to 5 and now I just finished downloading episode 04 of Season 6. I'm happy to say that Futurama got me through my living room, wardrobe and linen organization. Don't you just love feeling that sense of self-satisfaction at the sight of a well organized place? Just to give you an idea, here's a shot of my place from a few months ago.

The reason these photos are so old is because all of my recent photos got deleted when I did a reformat yesterday. I fell asleep archiving all my files in an external drive and I didn't think to check if all files were successfully backed up this morning. Which is why I met an unpleasant surprise when I opened my iPhoto and found missing images. Lots and lots of lost images. Entire batches from birthday parties, food logs, and project images.
But since there's nothing I can do about it, I figured I'll give myself a minute to rail at fate, "Curse you Aqua Scum!"--> a reference to a neurotic aquarium fish in Finding Nemo, and move on.
Another surprise yesterday was the caterpillar I found in my bathroom. Be warned to those who are squeamish when it comes to bugs:

Funnily enough, I also found a baby centipede earlier that day and squished it to death. Eeeew...
The caterpillar we scooped up and put outside instead.
I did wonder if the pad is having this infestation because of all the plants I'm babying. Or it could be that one of us (me & my roomies) got a hitchhiker or two when we passed by the many trees near our place. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it. Not a big bug fan either. Eeeewww....
As to my healthier lifestyle planning, I read up on my menu and exercises for the week provided by belle and have tailored my diet for the week to what's available in my fridge. As usual.
The lazy me did give in to a quarter pounder meal from McDo yesterday and 2 cups of dry mochaccino also from McDo.

I remind myself that I haven't gone to McDo for a very long time, right now I can't even remember the last time I've been to the joint. No excuse, I know, but if you noticed on the photo I tend not to eat all the bread in the burger and at least it's mostly protein and not fillers like you'd typically get from the other burger offers of McDo.
Today was better. I prepared a pasta dish for breakfast made up of fresh basil, fresh emmental & gouda cheese, freshly ground pepper, extra virgin olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice. All fresh! Yum!

Also, I just finished cooking my ba-on for the next few work days; canned tuna in water with calamansi & lemon juice, garlic, red onions, & pepper, cumin powder, thyme, basil and spiked with a splash of San Mig Light beer. A little something I learned from my culinary-inclined cousin-in-law.

I didn't eat that much today because I woke late and my big breakfast was more a combination breakfast, lunch & snack in terms of satiety.
For this week, I've put down on my calendar my exercises and diet to follow. I'm heading to bed in a bit to make a good start of it tomorrow.
So, how did your weekend go?
PS
