 4th Day: Springcleaning Part 2

Ack! I went all out with my dinner again. A generous helping of Keebler's Chocolate Lovers cookies and a bag of Sour Cream and Onion Ruffles. Egawd!

As promised, shown are also photos from my Legaspi Market trip. I got there past 12nn and it was quite hot. I wanted to get some fresh flowers since they sold them reasonably there compared to the florists at the mall but by the time I passed by the florist's stall the flowers were already wilting from the heat. Only the gerbera survived but I decided to make a pass this week since I really wanted the paper roses.

In the picture you can see a close up of a rosemary plant and some cacti (I think). I ended up getting a stout ficus potted plant for my teeny-tiny bathroom. My last bathroom plant was a small pot of jasmine, super pretty, super fragrant...until it died. It thrived and then got too big for the pot. Turned out it was supposed to be repotted to a bigger container but silly me, I thought the cup it came in was going to be it's home til it grew old. >_< Now my ficus is doing very well and since it requires very little upkeep I'm hoping it will survive better than it's predecessors.

Also in the photo is a shot of trays and trays of Turkish backlava. They were the stall beside the Yogurt Man or as Gilbert the owner of the yogurt stall is called by his patrons. In the photo with the meat lasagna which I got from a new stall (whose name escapes me right now) is my strawberry yogurt shake. Albeit it's a bit blurred.

You'll also see a portrait of a blind guitarista. I'm so bad with names. I actually talked to their manager and asked for the band's name but I totally forgot it again. I'll be sure to pass by next week to ask again and this time I'll take down notes.

I've been dreading reaching the bottom images. It's a testament of my weak self-control. Eeek! As you can see, it's a near empty bag of potato chips and tons of baked cookies on a plate. Nevermind the red wine, it's at least still healthy and only the one glass. It's the cookies! and the chips! that's killing me right now. Aaaack!

One good thing though, I'm pretty much done cleaning out the kitchen and the bathroom. Yay! Just the rest of the pad to go. Lol.

Oh and yeah, while perusing the plants at Legaspi a kababayan from Negros who watches over an Indian stall at the market, came over just to tell me that I lost weight AND looked gooood. Thanks Mich!

Yeah, I like Legaspi Market for the more relaxed pace but Salcedo Market is located in such a beautiful park. I'd still like going there if nothing else but for a nice stroll. The cacophony can be a little too much though. Hehehe!

It's already a good start that you're documenting your diet like this, it should help your self-control.... ;) It's okay! Little steps are bound to be the most effective ones. =)

I've also been wanting to check out the Legaspi Market, and I've also heard good things about the baklava and yogurt there. I've heard it's becoming preferable to the Salcedo Market, which is getting to be expensive and same-same. Ack!
