 Tapas

Had a great night out with good friends last night, over wine, tapas, coffee, and cheesecake. Honestly, my own diet hasn't been the best over this long weekend, since Friday.

First time I had a dinner of tapas, at Barcino in Global City—sure, some of the items were chorizo in oil and cheese, but since we were eating just little bites, it didn't feel like it was going to be something we'd regret. We were surprisingly full from the tapas, and we only had one glass of red wine each. When we split the bill, our food only cost 250 pesos per person. Not bad! I paid for the bottle of wine myself (a Malbec from Argentina that I chose), as a treat for my friends.

Now, this coming week, I'm looking forward to behave, to make up for the weekend's excesses (read: curb down dessert!). It's going to be a drag to force myself to exercise, but I just remind myself to take advantage of the cool air, both at night and in the early morning.

Saturday's workout
- 50 minute brisk walk/jog/sprint

Sunday's workout
- 45 minute brisk walk/jog/sprint
- 3 x 15 tricep curls (each arm) with 5 lb dumbbell
- 3 x 15 bicep curls with 5 lb dumbbells
- 3 x 15 shoulder presses with 5 lb dumbbells

Saturday's meals
Breakfast: 2 pieces of pan de sal with peanut butter, coffee with low-fat milk
Lunch: Siomai, spring roll, brown rice
Snack: Butterscotch blondie, coffee with low-fat milk
Dinner: Flank steak, brown rice
Dessert: Dark Toblerone mini

Sunday's meals
Breakfast: 1 piece of pan de sal with peanut butter, strawberry and vanilla financier from Bizu, coffee with low-fat milk
Lunch: Mozzarella stuffed burger, fries, onion rings, calamari
Snack: (shared with family) Toblerone cheesecake, coffee cheesecake, Oreo cheese tart, banana caramel cake, coffee with low-fat milk
Dinner: Embutido, flank steak, brown rice

Yesterday's meals
Breakfast: 2 pieces of pan de sal, soft boiled egg, peanut butter, coffee with low-fat milk
Lunch: 1 piece of Chickenjoy, brown rice, vegetable kare-kare
Dessert: Ube macapuno swirl ice cream
Snack: Ensaymada
Dinner (tapas shared with friends): Spicy chorizo, manchego cheese, tortilla española, chicken cordon bleu, jamón iberico, bread, glass of red wine
Dessert (all shared with friends): Blueberry cheesecake, Japanese cheesecake, apple pie, ice cream, coffee with milk
