I met up with a good friend who is now based in Los Angeles. We had lunch at a Brazilian churrascaria, a first for me.
In the churrascaria, there was a typical buffet set-up, but those were just the soups, salads, and side dishes. The real deal is the meat, which is served right at your own table.
(He wasn't our server, but you can click on him for more info about churrascarias.)
In a nutshell, servers with massive skewers of meat and hefty knives will come right to your table if you give them the green "go" signal, using some sort of marker supplied at every table. They will not stop coming to your table until you give then the red "stop" signal.
It was my first time to try Brazilian cuisine, and I loved every bit of it.
My friend and I were still so full from lunch by the time night settled in that we just had frozen yogurt.
This was a medium original frozen yogurt from
Pinkberry
with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. I loved it!
