Ordered a caffè americano at Starbucks. Barista asked if I wanted hazelnut syrup. Wanted to tell him about the BelleToday No-Sweets Challenge. =P   9 days

 Gadget Lust

Roll your eyes if you must, but I am one of THOSE people who go ga-ga every time the Almighty Steve Jobs speaks. This week, Apple announced a new line of iPods. It was expected that the iPod touch would just be a phone-less version of the iPhone 4 (yawn, old news), so possibly the most exciting new product is the touchscreen iPod nano.

The set of features is best explained over at Apple's site, of course, but what got me interested was that the nano can also function as a pedometer.

Previously, if you wanted your iPod to double as a fitness companion, you'd have to purchase a separate Nike Bluetooth accessory and ideally get a pair of Nike sneakers in which you can place the receiver. Now, if you get the new iPod nano, you can get to track your walk whenever you carry your it. Pretty cool! I totally want a new iPod nano!

...Except that I already have a pedometer, and I just bought an iPod last year! I can't exactly sell that iPod either, unless I find some other buyer who's named Victoria. I know I don't need a new iPod. I just want one. So I know I can live without it. Grudgingly.

So, is anyone planning to buy a new iPod from the new models? Tell me about it, and I'll be envious.

I also started with an iPod 5th gen, but it sputtered after 3 years of daily abuse...replacing the HD would cost the same as a new iPod. So, I got an iPod touch to replace it. After my phone broke that same year, I got myself an iPhone (0% installment) because I loved the touch so much. Consider yourself warned. =|

I've had an ipod 5th gen for awhile now. I think it's six years old but still working free of bugs. But after seeing the latest line up. I'm sooo eyeing the latest ipod touch. Ebook reader! No more Notes! Retina display! No more squinting! Hehehehe. Also, pedometer!

But, I'm holding off for now. Gotta save. :( Wish I won the lottery. Wish I bought lottery tickets! =))
